The auction day in the town hall Mülheim began at 11.00 watch with the Auction for Antiques & arts and crafts, followed by jewelry & luxury watches. Here, excellent results were achieved in both auctions.

it followed the highly anticipated Auction for Modern Art & Contemporary Art, with works by Heinz Mack , Hermann Max Pechstein , Tschang-Yeul Kim and Zdzisław Beksiński.
The tension in the hall rose considerably when LOT 44 was called. The oil painting "Schwermuth" by Hermann Max Pechstein from 1910 had been privately owned for decades and presumably shows "Lotte" (Charlotte) Kaprolat (1893 - 1955), whom Pechstein met in 1908 in the studio of fellow artist Georg Kolbe and later married.

The limit price of € 35,000 was broken within seconds and also the marks of € 100,000 and 200,000 held not long. After an exciting bidding war between telephone, online and room bidders, the painting finally for € 365,000 (inc. buyers premium) found a new owner.
Another highlight was a painting from 1970 by the famous Polish artist Zdzislaw Beksinski. His work already met with great international interest in the run-up to the Auction on . The Result took place at € 117,500 (inc. buyers premium), more than four times the limit price of € 25,000.

AuctionOne of the last lots was a object by the Korean artist Tschang-Yeul Kim. The works, by the for artist, who is celebrated worldwide for his meditative depiction of water drops, on continue to be highly sought after on the art market and so after a bidding war, a result of € 143,750 (inc. buyers premium) was achieved.
