Caruso - Stadthalle Mülheim, the historic-looking venue offered enough space for our numerous bidders on the spot, but throughout accompanied by telephone and online bidders! A total of 800 people participated in the auctions, especially gratifying for our house, including many new customers. The bidders expected a wonderful range of old art, modern- and contemporary art, jewelry and watches, as well as interior.
The auction began with the Old Art: In addition to landscapes, animal depictions and portraits in oil on canvas, two drawings by Otto Modersohn were offered, each of which for sold for twice the set limit price.
The milkmaid and the hunter, a particularly characteristic object for the oeuvre of the artist Hugo Mühlig, was successfully auctioned for 6,875 € including premium. Also the Rocky seashore of the artist Raoul Frank was called with a limit price of 800 € and offered on 3.000 € high!
Modern art - demand unbroken
it was followed by the eagerly awaited Auction for Modern & Contemporary Art. A highlight was without doubt the 'Meditation' by Lot from Jawlensky. The small-format painting was called for € 35,000 in the limit. After an exciting bidding war, a well-known royal finally secured the object by telephone bid, the Result took place at € 95,000 including buyer's premium.

Lange & Söhne, NOMOS Glashütte, Chopard and Cartier also met with great interest among bidders on .
Design classics end a successful day
The conclusion was our Auction for Interior, with a wonderful selection of design classics, porcelain and Silver. In the Interior section we started in Bauhaus, could offer some pieces from Thonet, Cassina and Driade and ended this successful day with porcelain of the world famous brands Meissen and KPM , as well as silver from Robbe&Berking and Georg Jensen .
Consistently sold were the cantilever chairs 'S62' and 'S64' and 'S 43' and 'S43F' by Marcel Breuer and Mart Stam, so also the extendable table 'S1052' which sold for twice its limit price!
The absolute design classic was the Lounge Chair and Ottoman by Charles and Ray Eames. This was for 2,800 € called and quickly rose on 5,250 € high. Next to the Coffee-Table, designed by Isamu Noguchi, it was probably the most famous piece, which also received a lot of attention during the preview.
Representatively for the porcelain must of course at this point again on the wonderful 173-piece service 'Breslauer Stadtschloss' of the brand KPM be gone into, that at the exclamation price already before the Auction written bid and for 23,000 € was sold!
