Rozenburg porcelain - highlight of the Auction

The following 10 positions of the Dutch Rozenburg porcelain are to be emphasized as highlight of this Auction and start at 1.500 - 3.000€. The filigree works of finest eggshell porcelain presented the Rozenburg manufactory for the first time on the Paris World's Fair of 1900. Since then, the wonderful Art Nouveau forms and excellently painted pieces for enthusiastic collectors to acquire.

The often floral-ornamental motifs show great influence of French-Japanese models of Art Nouveau. They were applied by the painters of the manufactory directly on to the unglazed pieces and then glazed over in the same production step. This had the effect that of bringing out the colors in a particularly nuanced way. As a highlight of our interior online auction, we may offer you the symbiosis of the highest quality, exquisite finish and elegant precision in form perfection of Rozenburg porcelain.

The silver category is populated with outstanding objects. These include the Robbe & Berking cutlery 'Spaten' with over 180 pieces, starting at 6,000€. Also to be mentioned here is the design silver cutlery by the Solingen manufacturer C. H. Pott in the model 'Triangle 40', which is called at 1,800€. Lot 127, the silver coffee and tea service of the American manufactory Traub Bros & Co. was created around 1900, and is also called with 1.800€.

In addition, you can enjoy on two consecutive positions of architect and designer Eileen Grey, the 'Daybed', starts at 800€ and the 'Adjustable Table', at 250€.

Günther Uecker is represented in this online auction, unlike usual, with none of his well-known nail works, but with a well-composed standing desk for Rosenthal, which is called with 600€.

Sacred art forms the conclusion

At the end of Auction we ask for special attention for the presentation of sacred art. Especially this applies for lot 202 - 204. These form the highlights of the books. Because both the 'Libro d'ore di Gregorio', 'The Royal Library' and the 'Codex Aureus' form high quality facsimile editions, each with proofs of purchase, some associated certificates and commentary volumes attached.
